I am currently an Associate Professor, McGill University, Faculty of Dentistry and an Epidemiologist in the Department of Dentistry, Jewish General Hospital, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I received my Master Degree in Neurological Science and my PhD in Public Health-Epidemiology at Université de Montréal, Canada. I pursued a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at McGill University, Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology. Having previously been Research Assistant Professor with the School of Dentistry at the University of Minnesota from 2006 to 2010, I am now Councillor-at-Large at the Canadian Association for Dental Research (CADR).
As an epidemiologist, I have a dynamic research program in acute and chronic pain and molecular biomarkers. My research focuses on the societal burden, risk factors and treatment of chronic pain conditions. I have had over 10 years of research funding as epidemiologist and/or co-investigator from National Institute of Health, the CIHR, Reseau de recherche en santé buccodentaire et osseuse, and the Fonds de la Recherche en Santé du Québec.
