Dr
Emami is a professor in the Department of Restorative
Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, and in the Department of Preventive and Social
Medicine at the School of Public Health at Université de Montréal. She is also
an adjunct professor at McGill and a researcher at Institut de recherche en santé publique de l’Université de Montréal,Centre de recherche hospitalier de l’Université de
Montréal, andCentre intégré de santé et
de services sociaux de l'Outaouais.
With
professional training in Prosthodontics (MSc)and research training in Biomedical Science (PhD), Dental Public Health and Epidemiology (postdoctoral fellowships), she leads a multifaceted and
practice-relevant research program entitled: Fostering Oral Health Through Interdisciplinary Research:
Intervention, Access and Impact.
Dr
Emami is a recipient of CIHR and FRQ-S Clinician Scientist awards. She serves as
Councillor-at-Large for the Canadian Association of Dental Research, is on
the board of directors for the Quebec Network for Oral Health and Bone Research
and for the Canadian Rural Health
Research Society, and also serves on the Council for the Faculty of Dentistry as
well as for the Faculty of Graduate
and Postdoctoral Studies at Université de Montréal. She hassat on the editorial board
of the Journal of Dental Research and serves the Journal of the Canadian Dental Associationas a member of the Editorial
Advisory Group and as associate editor for Trials journal.
