Mitacs
Mitacs Elevate is a two-year training program for postdoctoral fellows, in which participants lead and undertake an industrially relevant research project.

Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)
The Canada Graduate Scholarship Master’s (CGS-M) Award program supports high caliber scholars who are engaged in eligible Masters or, in some cases, doctoral programs in Canada in all research disciplines and is administered jointly by CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC.
The CIHR Doctoral Research Awards program consists of two programs administered through a single application:
Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program
The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program aims to attract and retain top-tier postdoctoral talent, both nationally and internationally, to develop their leadership potential and to position them for success as research leaders of tomorrow, positively contributing to Canada’s economic, social and research-based growth through a research-intensive career.

- The Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarships Doctoral Awards (CGS-D) program provides special recognition and support to students who are pursuing a doctoral degree in a health-related field in Canada.
- The Doctoral Foreign Study Award (DFSA) provides special recognition and support to students who are pursuing a doctoral degree in a health-related field abroad.
